LORENZA FILMS
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
At Lorenza Films, we do not collect personally identifiable information unless our visitors voluntarily provide it to us. For some activities, such as online polls or surveys, we may ask visitors to provide information that is not personally identifiable. This might include first name only, city or state of residence, age, gender, or a favorite cartoon character. For some other activities, such as entering sweepstakes and subscribing to our email newsletters, we may ask visitors to provide a first name and email address. For other activities, such as sending an electronic postcard or e-mail to a friend, we may also ask for personal information about other people. This is usually limited to a first name and email address. E-mail addresses collected to send an electronic postcard or e-mail to a friend are deleted immediately when the requested postcard or email is transmitted.
Visitors who order merchandise or other materials from Lorenza Films will be required to provide their full name, billing and mailing addresses, e-mail address, telephone number and a credit card number. If the order is being shipped to a third party, we will also need the recipient’s name and mailing address. Before collecting information in connection with a Lorenza Films order, we will verify the validity of the purchaser’s credit card. On occasion, we might solicit additional voluntary information regarding shoppers’ personal shopping preferences.
When a child under thirteen asks to receive an email newsletter or participates in another ongoing activity that requires the collection, retention, and use of personal information, we will also ask for a parent’s email address so that we can notify the parent that we have received personal information from their child.
We do not knowingly collect names and e-mail addresses from children under thirteen without notifying the parent via e-mail and giving the parent the option to remove their child’s email address from the applicable database for that activity. We do not knowingly collect the mailing address of a child under thirteen without obtaining verifiable consent from that child’s parent.
For specific one-time requests we receive from visitors, e-mail addresses are collected and used only in connection with the specific one-time request. For example, for sweepstakes and contests, e-mail addresses are collected for the purpose of entering the online sweepstakes or contest on a one-time basis and are used to notify winners of the sweepstakes or contest once by email. Winners will be required to return a completed prize acceptance form contained in the notification e-mail by facsimile or U.S. mail within a designated time period (along with the signature of a parent or legal guardian for all minors).
When visitors come to our site, we automatically collect some non-personally identifiable information such as the type of computer operating system and browser being used, and the domain name of the Internet service provider
HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION
We use visitors’ personal information for internal purposes only, such as enabling visitors to enter our online contests or sweepstakes, to subscribe to our online newsletter, or to order from Lorenza Films. We may also use personal information provided by shoppers at Lorenza Films to send them, by e-mail or direct mail, notification of special offers, sale events, or birthday reminders. These notifications are sent only to those visitors to Lorenza Films who ask to receive them.
We use parents’ email addresses to notify them when we have received personal information such as e-mail addresses from their children and to give parents the option to remove their child’s name from our lists.
We use information we collect about others only to enable visitors to our site to communicate with those other people, for example, by sending them electronic greeting cards or e-mail or to ship gifts purchased on Lorenza Films.
We do not keep any personal information we obtain through a contest or sweepstakes until we have successfully selected a winner(s), awarded the prize(s), and administered the contest or sweepstakes. We only use the e-mail addresses of subscribers to our Lorenza Films email newsletters to send them the requested newsletter(s). Each newsletter also includes instructions for subscription removal via return email.
We never sell, rent, or otherwise share our visitors’ personal information with third parties. Sometimes, we use agents or contractors to provide services to our visitors, such as helping us conduct sweepstakes, sending prizes to winners, or shipping customer orders made on Lorenza Films. In these cases, we require the agent or contractor to keep the information confidential and to use it only for the specific services they are performing. We sometimes use non-personally identifiable information that we collect to improve the design and content of our site, and to improve our visitors’ experience on Lorenza Films. We also may aggregate this information to analyze site usage, as well as to offer products, programs, or services.
We will disclose information we maintain as required by law, for example, in response to a court order or a subpoena. We also may disclose such information in response to a specific law enforcement agency’s request. We will not use or transfer personally identifiable information in ways that are materially different from the ones described above without also providing parental notification of such practices and obtaining consent for any materially different uses.
COLLECTION OF INFORMATION BY THIRD-PARTY SITES AND SPONSORS
Our site contains links to other sites, including those of sponsors and advertisers, whose information practices may be different from ours. Sometimes these sites might conduct contests or sweepstakes that are promoted on Lorenza Films. Visitors should consult these other third party sites’ privacy notices, since these sites are not covered by our privacy policy and may follow different procedures.
COOKIES
Lorenza Films uses a software technology called “cookies.” Cookies are small text files that we place in visitors’ computer browsers to store their preferences. Cookies themselves do not contain any personally identifiable information. Although cookies could enable us to relate a visitor’s use of this web site to personal information that the visitor has provided, such as an e-mail address, we do not use cookies for this purpose with one exception: for some activities, we use session cookies to ensure that visitors under the age of 13 provide a parental email address to assist with our compliance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. We do use cookies to determine how many visitors we have and how often they visit various sections of our site.
SECURITY
We have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security, and correctly use the information we collect online.
We are particularly sensitive to visitors’ security concerns regarding the use of credit cards to purchase products over the Internet. For orders placed on Lorenza Films, we use a technology that automatically encrypts credit card data while information is being transmitted over the Internet, provided that the visitor’s browser supports the Secure Socket Layer protocol (SSL).

If you see an unbroken or a closed lock, then SSL is active and the server is secure. You may also check by looking at the URL line of your browser. When accessing a secure server, the site address will change from http.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY POLICY
Lorenza Films has taken great pride in the relationships that it has developed with its guests. In keeping with this tradition, we at Lorenza Films are dedicated to protecting your privacy and handling any personal information we obtain from you with care and respect. This Children’ Privacy Policy is designed to answer your questions regarding our privacy policies and principles with respect to children under the age of 13.
Building on our general Privacy Policy, we recognize the need to provide additional privacy protections when children visit the sites on which this Children’ s Privacy Policy is posted. We explain those additional protections here in this Children’s Privacy Policy. For your convenience, this Children’s Privacy Policy uses terms that are defined in our general Privacy Policy.
The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”) requires that we inform parents and legal guardians about how we collect, use, and disclose personal information from children under 13 years of age; and that we obtain the consent of parents and guardians in order for children under 13 years of age to use certain features of our Web sites. Below we explain how we do that for these “children.” Also, when we use the term “parent” below, we mean to include legal guardians.
Children can surf Planet-tv.net and other LORENZA FILMS sites, view content, and play many games without any personal information being collected. We do not collect personal information from children unless they register on LORENZA FILMS sites. Typically, children will register in order to participate in sweepstakes or contests or to participate in a special activity. The only information we collect from children during our registration process is a child’s first name, parent’s email address, child’s birth date, member name, and password. We collect birth dates to validate the ages of our guests, including children. We do not collect any other personally identifiable information from children during our registration process. We also will collect a child’s email address from a parent for the purpose of sending the child’s email related to a subscription. For example, we would send Lorenza Films’s newsletter to a child directly at the request of the child’s parent. Note that all sites that are directed to children under 13 are prohibited by law from conditioning a child’s participation in an online activity on the child’s providing more personal information than is reasonably necessary.
We may collect personal information from parents in order to allow children to participate in certain features located on our Web sites and within our children’ subscription products, such as Lorenza Films’s newsletter. These features may include instant message chatting, sending email, posting on message boards, interacting with pen-pals, and other similar activities. In the course of a child’s participation in these features, a child may also provide us additional information about himself or herself, such as the contents of his or her chat or message board postings. If a parent allows us to collect personal information about their child, we may link certain information collected through technology to that personal information.
If a child registers for a sweepstakes or contest, we use the parent’s email address to notify the parent of the child’s registration request. To personalize communications to a child regarding a specific product, we may use the child’s first name combined with the parent’s last name and a mailing address provided by the parent when signing up for that specific product. We may collect a child’s email address from the parent in order to send the child a newsletter, such as Lorenza Films’s newsletter. In addition, personal information regarding a child may be disclosed in the course of a child’s participation in certain interactive features such as message boards and pen pal services.
We do not share any information about a child with any other member of The Lorenza Films Family of Companies or with any third parties unless the disclosure is reasonably necessary: to comply with law, including, for example, to comply with a court order or subpoena; to enforce our Terms of Service, or site or game rules; or to protect the safety and security of our Guests and our Web sites.
We send parents an email when their child registers and enters a sweepstakes or contest and we provide parents 48 hours to refuse their child’s registration and entry in the sweepstakes or contest. If the parent refuses to allow the child’s registration and entry, we delete the child’s information from our database. If we don’t hear back from the parent, we assume it is acceptable for the child to be registered and entered in the sweepstakes or contest. Once a parent permits a child to register, the child will be able to enter future registration-based sweepstakes or contests without any further notification to the parent. If a child wins a sweepstakes or contest, we notify the parent at the parent’s email address provided to us during the registration process and request that the parent provide their postal address for purposes of delivering the prize. We may publish a winner’s first name, first initial of last name, city, and state of residence on our Websites.
At any time, parents can refuse to permit us to collect further personal information from their child and can request that any personal information we have collected be deleted from our records.
A parent can contact our customer service department to access, change, or delete the personal information that we have collected from his or her child. Please include the child’s member name and the parent’s email address in the email so that we can better assist you with your inquiry or request.
We may amend our Children’ Privacy Policy at any time. We will provide parents notice by e-mail of any material changes in the way we intend to collect, use, and/or share children’ personal information. Please note that, at all times, parents should update their personal information to provide us current email addresses. We will apply material changes in our
Children’ Privacy Policy only in conformance with applicable law, including any applicable provisions of COPPA that require parental consent.
If you need further assistance, please contact us with your questions or comments.
